Memory Verses

This year, during each Sunday morning service we are learning a memory verse (not just the children–the adults too!).

These are the verses we have learned so far:

  • Romans 10:9 … if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  • Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
  • Romans 3:23 … for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
  • Romans 6:23 … the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
  • Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
  • Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no-one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
  • Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
  • John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
  • John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
  • John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies”
  • John 14:1,2 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.”
  • Psalm 121:1,2 1I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
  • Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
  • Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God
  • Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
  • Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
