Mums & Toddlers
About 25 mums—plus an occasional dad or grandparent—meet, with their children, on Wednesdays during school term-time from 9.30 till 11.30 am. We are, so people say, a very friendly group. There is sometimes a waiting list to join but places do frequently become available.
Our morning starts with free play-time, using a good variety of quality toys/slides/play-tents/games etc. We break at 10.30 for refreshments, and a time of singing until 11 am, and after more play time, start to pack up around 11.20. We enjoy an annual outing together in the Spring.
Ladies Meetings
Forget your stereotypical “old ladies meeting”. Although we love old ladies, we prefer to meet altogether, young and old, married and single, where elder woman are encouraged by youth, and youth can learn from experience. We usually meet in a different home, on the 2nd Thursday of each month, beginning with coffee, around 10 am., and then hear the host give a talk, or share a hobby/interest, or occasionally hear a speaker from outside our own church.
Two or three times a year (and famously at Christmas) we host a meal or garden party, for the whole church, so that they can bring their friends to hear the gospel explained. A number of the ladies also pray together in the church on the 1st Thursday of the month, at 10 am.
